i think it's safe to say, i'm not well, not atall. so no uni for me today, whch kinda sucks but doesnt. thing is whenever i'm ill i always feel far too crappy to actually get on with my work
on the bright side, i have a whole weekend of work ahead of me, which i need to go to because my absence is so damn high :( not really but apparently so!
i will go because i need the money, and i'm not sure how much longer i'll be there. money is always a win for me... every little helps!
what is upsetting me a little, is that i am due to go out for dinner tomorrow night, but the way i'm feeling right now... not gonna happen!!!

Monsters Vs Aliens Review <3
What can i say? I thought Monsters versus Aliens would be the dreamworks attempt to out do Pixar's Monsters INC. Luckily, the films are both so completely aswesome, there is not one which outdoes the other.
The film was based on so many 1950's Alien B-Movies you start to notice the similarities, especially in the characters. In true Dreamworks style, they've managed to pull off taking the mick rather well, much like they did in Shrek. All monsters are based upon others from films such as, Attack of The 50ft Woman, The Blob, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, Godzilla and The Fly .
The story starts on Susan's (Resse Wetherspoon) wedding day to fiancee, and weather man Derek (Paul Rudd) supposedly the happiest day of her life, until of course she gets hit by a metiorite and becomes not only extremely tall, (guessing around 50ft) but also extremely strong.
She is placed in a cell in which all monsters have been kept for years. Distraught, she seeks the help of her friends Dr. Cockroach (Hugh Laurie), The Missing Link (Will Arnett), B.O.B (Seth Rogan) and Insectasaurs, to become human again.
Until ...
An alien appears, the President and his cronys decide that the nonly way to defeat an Alien is by realising the Monsters.
Susan, now by the alter ego of Ginormica, must save the day along with her friends and finally marry her one true love.
IF YOU DON'T WANT ME TO SPOIL THE FILM FOR YOU, DONT READ PAST THIS SENTENCE.
:)
With a cast such as this noone will be dissappointed, Kuther ... the guy from 24, played chick Hicks in Cars <3... makes an apperence as a General.
Seth Rogan is so funny as B.O.B maybe due to the fact that he has no brain, to which he adds, apparently, you dont need one ... until of course you forget how to breate. His ability to be completely naive and innocent is comical, particulary when he first meets Susan, 'It's a boy! look at it's boobies!' he is so loveable and he does develop a rather disturbing obsession with Susan's Fiancee Derek, which is comical in self.
What really made the film for me, was Insectasaurs, a 350ft Genetically modifeied catapiler. who incidently, cannot speak, he just growls. However his appearence may be obvious many audience members actually forget he exsists as he just pops up at the right time.
One aspect of the film, which bugged me ... was the idea that the Presdiant (Stephen Coltbert), was a complete idiot! i'll admit it worked in this film but COME ON! the whole Presidant is so mind-numbingly stupid idea is getting rather old now. His stupidity comes out when he attempts to get a latte from pushing a big red button ... evidently the button releases all nuclear missiles, whereas the button next to it, which incidentally is also big and red ... will get him a latte. (three guesses which idiot designed the button system?)
Overall the film was really funny, i loved insectasaurus, much more of a boys film than Bolt, but i still love Bolt more :p
Will Susan ever return to her human self? Will the President release the nuclear missile's, Will the citizens of America learn to live with the Monsters, will darren's true personality be revealed?
and Did the Jello give B.O.B a fake phone number??

Well hello
I decided to set up this little blog, due to my constant rants on facebook, which I'm sure people are getting extremely irritated by!
This is my little place to moan about the simple things in life, things bugging me at present are work, uni, house hunting and the ever so brilliant quest for teaching experience!!!! (which doesn't seem to be going anywhere unfortunately =[ tis tricky getting training with no experience)
as well as my usual bitching and complaining, usually about things at work and petentious bastards at uni ... i shall be perhaps adding nice little things, often reviews for films i thin kpeopel should see, i am a film student after all people.
well thats all for the moment
toodles
Emma

P.S i am loving twitter atm, and was inspired to create this blog as i am currently stalking the ever-so-gorgeous Richard Hammond on twitter and he has one too lol. (i am in complete denial that he is in fact 40 and old enough to be my father! ITS LIES I TELLS YOU!!!)
